YEAR-END BANQUET & AWARDS

The Ottawa East Show Series (OESS) will be awarding year-end awards at the annual banquet.  Points can be earned in all OESS-named classes at all six shows.  Year-end awards will be determined with high-point scores for riders competing at a minimum of three (3) shows in the core divisions as well as a High Point Versatility Award for the rider with the most points earned in all 3 disciplines.  New for 2008:  only the top three scores will be counted towards the year-end awards.  If a rider competes in more then three shows, his lowest score will be dropped, keeping only the top three scores.

The time and place of the year-end banquet will be announced in December.  Notice will also be given to each of the participating barns.

POINT SYSTEM FOR YEAR-END AWARDS

1st place = 6 pts;   2nd = 4 pts;   3rd = 3 pts;   4th = 2 pts; 5^th = 1pt.

OTHER YEAR-END AWARDS

OADG Awards - By becoming a member of the OADG (Ottawa Area Dressage Group) - both owner of the horse and rider - you will become eligible for their year-end awards.  For information go to www.ottawadressage.ca Senior membership is $25.00 and Junior is $15.00.  The W/T and Training classes are eligible, but the Pick-a-test classes are not eligible for the awards.  Awards are based on percentage achieved, not placing.  There is Champion/Reserve/Third place in Discovery, 3 scores, 3 shows, JR/AA/O divisions.  There are also awards of merit - 3 scores of 60%, 3 shows, one level, JR/AA only.

Horse World Medal - will be awarded to the Top Rider (all Ottawa Discovery Dressage Shows to count).  Must be an OADG member.
